Between about 10h00 and 13h00 PST on Saturday 1 March, users trying to create, edit or publish sites would have experienced service interruptions.
This was due to a failure in DNS (Domain Name Services) that are managed at a third-party service provider.
We apologize for the disruption and want to assure you that we have taken precautions to prevent a recurrence of the problem.

We have some exciting plans underway to bring you additional features and reliability that you will be hard-pressed to find at a paid-for service, but with SynthaSite they will remain free.

You seem to be asking for two related features here: blogging and the ability for people to share their photos on your site.
I can tell you that blogging is a very important feature to us. It is not available yet, but we are working on it.
As for allowing people to share photos on your site, we would have to give this more thought. Perhaps we could work out an integration with a photo sharing service like Flickr that would work for you.
Could you share a little bit more about how exactly you envision people sharing their photos on your site?
We always like to hear from our users, and we take your ideas very seriously.
