Website of the Week: Fit Girl Gear

We’ve been talking a lot about getting your site in shape, so we thought it might be fun to meet Fit Girl Gear, an apparel shop dedicated to getting their customers in shape in super stylish workout gear. We get inspired by stylish websites, so we understand the appeal of fashion designer work out clothes to motivate that next trip to the gym.

Site owner Daria Holcomb was looking for a website that stood out and did not feel her customers would shy away from bold pinks and purples. Rather she hopes her color palette will “appeal to the feminine and fashion forward woman who is not afraid to express herself.”

Yola had a style available that fit my exact needs and had the perfect look for my products. I was eager to get started and saved some money by not having to hire a web designer.

The Sitebuilder was very user friendly. Although I was ready to dive into my tasks in Dreamweaver, I realized that for a clean business website, I could save time by using Yola. So, I upgraded to Yola Silver right away and am still enjoying all the wonderful perks, including great customer service. The Widgetbox gallery has been very helpful! I was able to set up a mailing list within 2 minutes. I also love all the tools available for images—the image optimizer significantly sped up my website’s loading time, which I am sure my customers appreciate when browsing my website. Also, adding alternate tags to help with SEO is very easy since Yola has a input box for them, with no coding knowledge required whatsoever!

Building a website for my business felt like a fun, leisure activity that I enjoyed over a glass of wine. I couldn’t be a bigger fan of your user experience. Thank you, Yola!—Daria Holcomb

  1. Very good site and very good use of e-commerce and shopping cart. Can you by any chance tell me how the store was integrated into the site? Because it looks clean and nice. I have never seen one so advanced be used in a yola site. How was it done or what was used? Thanks and good work! I hope the site continues to do well!!!
