Site of the Week: Sit Stay Learn

Andrea Adler Milavsky created Sit Stay Learn for a client with limited computer skills who wanted to be able to make updates to her site quickly and easily. Turns out Yola’sfree website builder met both of their needs. Andrea had all the tools she needed to create a darling website for Janis Mikelberg’s dog training business, while Janis was given complete control of her website once the design phase was complete.

Andrea selected our “Paw Prints” style, a fun, pet oriented template which allowed her to customize the banner and background creating a unique look for her client. Check out our tutorial on personalizing your style to do the same for your website!

What impressed me about the Yola Sitebuilder was the intuitive interface. I didn’t experience one second of downtime trying to learn how to use Yola. I simply jumped in and started to design the site according to my specifications. It was as simple as choosing a layout; one, two or three columns, then dropping in a text widget and/or a picture widget. Formatting my text was a breeze because the options are very much like a combination between word processing and Dreamweaver. — Andrea Adler Milavsky

Andrea also made excellent use of Picnik to make quick edits to her photographs. She enjoyed the cute and creative special effect options, most of which she could utilize free of charge, like the one on the Contact page. Doesn’t that puppy picture just melt your heart? If you’d like to add some special touches to the photos on your site check out our tutorial about editing pictures.
