Site of the Week: AG Designs

Alicia Garey of AG Designs seemed surprised when we wanted to feature her site, but really, she is what Yola is all about! She has a successful small business offering a service she is passionate about. Most importantly, she understands a web presence is critical to showcase her work and to help her secure new clients.

As an interior designer, Alicia clearly had an eye for what she wanted her site to look like but she needed to translate her vision to her site without a lot of technical ability. Happily, she was up to the task and found that she could accomplish her goals with Yola.

Alicia discovered that designing her site was also key in helping her to hone in on her business plan. She wasn’t afraid to play around in the Sitebuilder until she achieved the look she was after.

This is my very first site ever. Building the site really forced me to examine my whole message and how the presentation ties into what I believe and who I want to address. It really got me thinking. I do tend to be a hands on kind of person, so being able to get in there and try out different things was great for me.

Utilizing sub-pages proved to be a clean and elegant method for displaying a portfolio of her previous jobs. My favorite is the kitchen in Mar Vista!
