Updating your domain registration details

You may receive an email from our domain registration partners to check and update your domain registration details. If your details have changed, you can update them by following these steps:

  1. Log into your Yola account and click on the Domains tab along the top.
  2. Next to your domain, click Advanced settings.
  3. Click Edit your domain registration info.
  4. Edit your details and click Update details.

Your details will be updated.

For .co.uk, .com, .org, .biz and .net domains, if you have made an update to your name or organization, you will have entered into what is known as the ICANN Trade process. To complete this, please follow these next few steps:

  1. You will receive an approval email at the email address used to register your domain.
  2. You need to click on the verification link on this email.
  3. Once confirmed, the transfer will be successful and your domain will be verified.

If you have made a change to the email address:

  1. You will receive an approval email at both the OLD and NEW email address. You need to confirm the ICANN trade at BOTH email addresses.
  2. Once confirmed, the transfer will be successful and your domain will be verified.

If you have made a change to the email address and DO NOT have access to the original email address used:

  1. Please send us a mobile number where we can send you an SMS verification link.
  2. Click on the link in the text message.
  3. This will approve the ICANN trade. Your domain name will also be verified and set to active.

Please note that, if the validation has not been done, your domain will be suspended within 15 days of the email date. The suspension is not processed at Yola, so we do not have control over it. Should your domain become suspended due to failure to comply with this request, you will have to start a process to retrieve it.

Please complete the validation process as quickly as possible.

It's easy to take your business online with Yola.
