Adding a Translate Widget

Yola has made it very easy for you to add a translation widget to your page. Please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Widgets > More > Misc.
  2. Drag and drop the Google Translate Widget onto your page.
  3. Save and republish your site.

Please note: You will need to add this widget to each page that you want to be translated.

You can also use a service like Yahoo's Babelfish (choose "Translate your Page").

Copy the HTML code provided and then:

  1. Drag and drop the HTML Code Widget from the Widgets > Popular menu (the icon for this is a blue sphere) onto your page.
  2. Write or paste your code into the HTML Editor (use right-click > paste or ctrl-V to paste).
  3. When you are done, click "Save" and you will have a translate button on your page.
  4. To test it, preview your page and then click on the translate button.

Another option is to use conveythis.com. What it does is add a button to the page that visitors to your site can click on, choose the language and online translation service they would like to use and have the page and site translated.  To add it to your site, follow these steps:

  1. Visit conveythis.com and click on "Get your Button".
  2. Customize your settings and click on"Get your Button".
  3. Copy the code provided.
  4. Drag and drop the HTML Code Widget onto your page.
  5. Write or paste your code into the HTML Editor (use right-click > paste or ctrl-V to paste).
  6. When you are done, click "Save" and translation service will be displayed on the page.
