Domain is configured, but it is going to a placeholder page. Help!
You have configured your domain to point to Yola, but when you try to access it, all you get is a placeholder page (white screen with your domain name on it) Don't worry, you can fix this easily!
This usually happens when you have done everything right on your DNS settings but have not published your site from Yola to your own domain name.
To fix this:
- Log into your Yola account and open the site you want to publish.
- Click on the yellow "Publish My Site" button.
- Click on "Use my Domain".
- Click on "I have done this" and fill in your domain name.
- Follow the prompts to publish your site.
If your site is already published to another domain name you can follow these steps:
- Clicking on the drop down arrow next to the yellow "Update My Site" button.
- Click on "Publishing Settings".
- Click on "Add a Domain you Own".
- In the dialog box that opens, add in your new domain name and publish your site.
