Your logo.<\/p>\n<p>Lucky for you, a friend drafted one up for your business a while back. Knowing you&#8217;re already ahead of the game, you upload your logo to your fresh new website.<\/p>\n<p>*Cue Psycho music (Ree! Ree! Ree!)<\/p>\n<p>To your horror, you see your logo sitting at the top of your page, surrounded by a large white box. You realize your .jpg file is not transparent, and has turned your logo from tasteful to tacky in 30 seconds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.37.25-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-7557\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.37.25-PM.png\" alt=\"Using the wrong file for your logo\" width=\"540\" height=\"86\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>No need to panic, we have the details to give your logo the transparent background you&#8217;re looking for.<\/p>\n<p>With free tools such as <a title=\"Background Burner\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bonanza.com\/background_burner\" target=\"_blank\">Background Burner<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"Pixlr Editor\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pixlr.com\/editor\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pixlr Editor<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canva.com\" target=\"_blank\">Canva<\/a> (<em>hint: we used Canva to design\u00a0the logo for this demo<\/em>)\u00a0creating transparent images is a cinch. For the sake of this example, we&#8217;ll go with Pixlr.<\/p>\n<p>Upon landing on Pixlr Editor, go ahead and click &#8220;Create a new image.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.46.20-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-7556\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.46.20-PM.png\" alt=\"Using pixlr to remove your logo's background\" width=\"378\" height=\"422\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next, select the width and height of your logo, and be sure to click &#8220;Transparent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7555\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.47.47-PM.png\" alt=\"Using pixlr to remove your logo's background\" width=\"292\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Your screen should now look like this:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7554\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.48.56-PM.png\" alt=\"Using pixlr to remove your logo's background\" width=\"565\" height=\"232\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, from the &#8220;Layer&#8221; drop down above, select &#8220;Open image as Layer&#8221; and upload your logo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.52.07-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-7553\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.52.07-PM.png\" alt=\"Using pixlr to remove your logo's background\" width=\"380\" height=\"346\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once done, select the wand from the toolbar.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7552 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.53.08-PM1.png\" alt=\"Using pixlr to remove your logo's background\" width=\"65\" height=\"106\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With the wand in hand, select the white background of your logo.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7551\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.54.46-PM1.png\" alt=\"Using pixlr to remove your logo's background\" width=\"331\" height=\"351\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once selected, from the &#8220;Edit&#8221; drop down menu, select &#8220;Cut.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.56.29-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7550\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Screen-Shot-2014-06-27-at-1.56.29-PM.png\" alt=\"Using pixlr to remove your logo's background\" width=\"423\" height=\"404\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>See the checkered background behind your logo? That means it&#8217;s transparent!
