Before you start<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Decide on your goals for your SEO effort<\/li>\n
  2. Brainstorm a list of potential keywords<\/li>\n
  3. Use keyword research tools (link to KW article) to narrow down the keyword list<\/li>\n
  4. Choose 1-5 keywords per page<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Optimize tags and headings<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Add\/optimize title tags<\/li>\n
    2. Add\/optimize headings (one H1 per page; no lower than <H3>)<\/li>\n
    3. Add\/optimize keyword tag\u00a0 <\/span>(5-10 keywords)<\/li>\n
    4. Add\/optimize description tag (40-140 characters long)<\/li>\n
    5. Add\/Optimize Image ALT Tags<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Edit content<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. Optimize current content\u00a0 <\/span>(1-5 relevant keywords per page)<\/li>\n
      2. Develop new content (300-500 words per page)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
