Use the gallery to upload fresh content and keep people returning to your site.<\/p>\n<p>The Picture Gallery widget is the easiest way to create an elegant photo gallery on your website.\u00a0 Just drag and drop the Picture Gallery widget onto your site where you would like to see your gallery.\u00a0 This will then open a dialog box, where you are given 2 options, to \u2018Upload New Images\u2019 or to \u2018Browse Uploaded Images\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\ufeff\ufeff<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/PictureGallery-widget1.png\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/PictureGallery-widget.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3069\" title=\"Picture Gallery widget\" src=\"https:\/\/blogcontent.yola.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/PictureGallery-widget.png\" alt=\"Yola Picture Gallery widget\" width=\"278\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upload New Images: This opens a window displaying the folders on your computer. Browse your folders for the image file(s) you wish to use; you can add large sets of photos to your site in batches, rather than uploading pictures individually. We recommend that you use internet-friendly image formats such as .jpg, .png or .gif.<\/li>\n<li>Browse Uploaded Images: This will open your File Manager so you can select the images to show in your gallery that you\u2019ve already uploaded.\u00a0 You can also browse and purchase stock images under the \u2018Stock Images\u2019 tab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/SelectImages1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3070 alignnone\" title=\"Select images for you gallery\" src=\"https:\/\/blogcontent.yola.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/SelectImages1.png\" alt=\"Select images for you gallery\" width=\"318\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/FindStockImages1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3074\" title=\"Find stock images for your gallery\" src=\"https:\/\/blogcontent.yola.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/FindStockImages1.png\" alt=\"Find stock images for your gallery\" width=\"320\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Once you have selected the images you want, your gallery will be created for you instantly.\u00a0 You can then click \u201cEdit\u201d on the upper left hand corner of the widget to customize your gallery. The widget will open, and you will see the following options:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yola.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/EditPictureGallery.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3077 aligncenter\" title=\"Edit your Yola picture gallery\" src=\"https:\/\/blogcontent.yola.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/EditPictureGallery.png\" alt=\"Edit your Yola picture gallery\" width=\"365\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upload or Add Images:\u00a0 You can add more images to your gallery by uploading new images or selecting images already uploaded to Yola or stock images from Fotolia.<\/li>\n<li>Style: Select the thumbnail style you would like.\u00a0 By rolling over the different thumbnails you can see what your gallery will look like.<\/li>\n<li>Margin: This allows you to set the spacing of the Picture Gallery widget to the surroundings on the page. If you edit the margin in the dialog window using the slider, the width of the margin varies uniformly around the picture widget.\u00a0 Alternately you can enter different values if the distance of the gallery to its environment should be different.<\/li>\n<li>Alignment: This feature allows you to align your gallery to the left, right or center of your page.<\/li>\n<li>Reorder images: You can easily change the order of the images in your picture gallery by clicking on the arrows next to the images or dragging them in the edit screen.<\/li>\n<li>Add hover text by entering text into the section \u2018Click here to edit the photo hover test\u2019.
