How do I remove the Yola Link from my Site?

Each site built with Yola has a link at the bottom of each page, linking back to the Yola website.  The Yola link allows us to keep our site building and hosting free of charge.  However, if you would like to remove this link you can do so for a fee.  The cost is $9.95 per year.  This is an account-level feature which means that you pay the amount once to remove the Yola link from all the sites in your account.

Here are the answers to some questions you might have about this feature:

1. There is a credit and a link to a designer (eg, Free CSS Templates) on my site.  When I pay the fee to remove the Yola link, will the designer credit also be removed?
No.  While we can offer you the option to remove the Yola link for a fee, the credit to the designer cannot be removed due to our licensing agreement with them.  If this presents a problem to you, you might want to consider using a style that does not have design credit attached to it.  You can generally find these near the beginning of the style selector.  To learn more about styles that do not have design credit, see the Yola Style Guide.

2. If I buy a domain from Yola, is Yola Link removal included?
No.  In order to keep the price of both Domains and Yola Link Removal as low as possible, they are sold separately.  This allows you to decide whether you only want to purchase one, or both.  You have the option to buy a domain every time you log into your account or publish your site, and you have the option to pay to remove the Yola link every time you edit your site.

3. What will happen after the year is up for my Yola Link Removal feature?
Before this feature expires you will receive a renewal notice and you will have the option to pay to renew it.

4. The appearance of the Yola link on my website has changed.  It used to be text only and now it appears inside a white box.  Why is this?
Yola has released a great new feature that allows you to personalize the background on many of our styles.  We needed to ensure that the Yola Link would display in a consistent manner against an editable background.  We needed to make this change in order to accommodate the new feature, but we have tried to make the link as attractive and discreet as possible.
