SynthaSite takes Gold Award from Webuser Magazine

We only picked up on this news, when Webuser posted their online review. It is a nice comparison of web builders, so if you haven’t signed up with SynthaSite and you are considering the different website builders that are out there, then have a look!

  1. Hey Graham

Unfortunately, things like domain names, which will cost us money to make available for free, would have to be charged for. Everything that is now free in SynthaSite will remain free, but add ons which have an underlying direct cost to us (i.e. we have to pay for domain names like .com, .net etc), will unfortunately not be free.

  2. Well, I found out about Synthasite through reading Webuser magazine and I’m up and running having never had a site before. I am British and would like to see a few more of my fellow Brits comment here. The old adage of, ‘if I can do it, then anyone can’, certainly seems to fit well here. How can you keep something like this free for ever, Mr. Lingham?

  3. HEY I REALLY THINK THAT SYNTHASITE IS MESSED UP BE COZ THERE

IS NOTHING LIKE FREE WEBSITE OF YOUR OWN AND ALSO GETTING

PEOPLE TO SEE WHAT YOU HAVE CREATED. EVEN IF YOU CREATE

THE SO CALLED WEB PEOPLE WILL NOT GET TO SEE IT WHY? COZ

YOU LOG IN AND THE STUPID FREE WEB IS FOR YOU ALONE TO SEE

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE AND I THINK THAT REALLY SUCK IF YOU ASK

ME. SO IF WERE THE PERSON(S) IN CHARGE, I WILL TRY TO DO

SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. IF YOU WANNA HELP JUST DO AND DONT

JUST PUT SOMETHING IN THERE AND DECEIVE PEOPLE THAT THIS IS

ACTUALLY FOR FREE. MY ONLY PROBLEM WITH YOUR LAME WEBSITE

IS WHY CANT I TYPE IN MY WEB ADDRESS AND THE SAERCH WOULD

SAY NOT FOUND. I THOUGHT THAT IS WHY YOU HELP POEPLE TO

CREATE THIS SO THAT POEPLE WILL NOTICE THEM WHEN THEY GIVE

OUT THEIR WEB AD TO THEIR FRIENDS.

  4. Hi queen

This seems to be a misunderstanding and I would certainly like to help clear it up. There would be very little point to creating a website if you could not show it off when you are done! You only log in to your account when you want to build and edit the site (the same way you would open any software, either on your computer or via your browser) in order to create something. However, when you are ready for others to see your site, you need to publish it. You can either use a free SynthaSite subdomain eg “queensworld.synthasite.com” or one you have bought from a company that sells domain names (like GoDaddy.com or Register.com) People will then be able to see your site by typing the URL (website address) into their browsers or clicking on a link to your site. We also provide you with some to get your site indexed by Google, but please understand that we have no control over this process. There are many things you can do to promote your site and get people to see it. Take a look at this great post in our forum for some excellent advice: http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite/topics/how_i_got_high_google_page_ranks_with_synthasite

If you have any trouble publishing your site, please email support@synthasite.com

    Best wishes

  5. Hi there this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
