Site of the Week: Rapi-tweet

There are lots of Twitter applications out there from TweetDeck to Tweetie, but Rapi-tweet is the first Twitter application we’ve seen created with Yola, and we have to say, it’s a pretty clean and simple interface!

Site owner, Callum Booth, says he designed the site to “help first time users of Twitter, to make their first tweet and to help more advanced users of the service make a quick tweet without having to wait for their profile to load.

Rapi-tweet has its own Get Satisfaction community indicating that they are there to help their users and they’re interested in feedback  and ideas. The forum is a comfortable place to get more familiar with Twitter. Newbies can be overwhelmed by all the Twitter etiquette.  What’s the deal with re-tweets, and what’s a hash-tag for anyway!? Rapi-tweet seems like a great place to grow your Twitter wings as you learn how to fly. Once you’re a pro, you may still decide not to leave the nest because feeling connected to a community is one of the best things about Twitter.

The site is proof that the sky (and clouds!) are the limit as far as design goes. There’s no need to let your imagination feel boxed in by our styles. As Callum says, Yola styles “can be customized to your hearts content and you can create stunning user interfaces with the Yola Sitebuilder.” We had to sneak a peak at his account settings to see that the style Callum selected as the foundation for Rapi-tweet is Clean Slate, a popular choice for when you have a lot of your own design elements to incorporate.
