Announcing Yola Staff Build a Business Website Day

Yola is thrilled to announce our first “Build a Business Website” day. Later this month, every Yola staff member will build a website for a local small business still in need of a web presence. We understand that no matter how easy we make website building, some businesses will still need a helping hand to get online. We’re excited to both serve our local communities and to show off our skills in our Sitebuilder.

We do have an ulterior motive for this project. We figure the best way to stay in tune with the needs of our small business customers is to talk to them about what they need from their websites and then try to build it for them.  We expect this exercise will result in some impressive websites, but we are also prepared to learn valuable information about how we can improve our services to better meet the needs of small businesses.

It’s also vital for us to try and look at the Sitebuilder through your eyes. Many of us spend each day immersed in very specific aspects of our Sitebuilder and sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of the forest for the trees. We are looking forward to experiencing the entire site building process just as you do. Our staff is busy selecting their small businesses and checking out some of our best Yola built websites for inspiration. Wish us luck, we can’t wait to show you what we come up with!

    Hey Yola,

I would love for my site to be chosen in “Build a Website Day” and for a Yola staff member to help me build my site to the professional look I am searching for. I want to make my candy apples stand out and take us to another level. I like the Sitebuilder but I know my site can be more visual and colorful with your help. Please consider my site in your process.

    Thank you.

I would like to help so that I can serve and help others in a big way.

How do I get in the list of consideration?

I want a site built called ‘PS3Tube’ please.

    • LauraT

      Hi Ganita and tanv,

Just to clarify, this project is being done by Yola employees who are selecting businesses that are near and dear to them, possibly where they are already customers or are otherwise connected to the business as we want to meet with the owners in person and work closely with them in the site building process.

I’m currently planning on starting my own website. Hope it would be selected on your “Build a small business website Day”. It would be a great advantage for me.

I have “NEVER” heard of any website hosts offering their members/clients with an opportunity such as this. Its Fantastic. Though I wont hold my breath as in being picked, as I know Yola has many members to consider. I also want to say….Thank You “Yola” for giving me a $75 voucher for free google advertising, the only problem is I am holding onto it a bit longer untill I make my website a little better than it is at present. So I guess I am putting my hand up for HELP!!!!!!!

    Thanks Heaps (wayne)

      Hi Wayne,

Yola Staff didn’t select businesses from our existing customer base, rather we reached out to small businesses we were aware of that needed a hand creating a business website. If you need help with site building, please feel free to email support@yola.com head to our forum.
